僑生與外籍生所需資料：
Required Documents for Overseas Chinese Students and International Students:
  1. 入學通知書（原件）
    Letter of Admission (original copy)
  2. 海外分發入學通知書（原件）
    Overseas Student Placement Admission Notice (original copy)
  3. 護照（驗證掃描後發回）
    Passport (will be returned after verification and scanning)
  4. 中華民國臺灣地區入出境許可證（護照內有中華民國外交部簽證頁）
    Republic of China (Taiwan) Entry/Exit Permit or the visa page issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) in the passport
  5. 2吋證件照片（3.5cm × 4.5cm）彩色白底露耳（可提供電子檔）
    One 2-inch passport photo (3.5 cm × 4.5 cm), color, white background, with ears visible (electronic file accepted)
  6. 居留證申請表（本組提供）（填寫內容均以護照為準）
    ARC Application Form (provided by our office). All information must be completed exactly as shown in the passport.
  7. 在學證明（學校提供）
    Certificate of Enrollment (provided by the school)
  8. 住宿證明（本組提供）或校外租屋契約書
    Proof of Accommodation (provided by our office) or an off-campus rental agreement
  9. 委託書（本組提供）
    Letter of Authorization (provided by our office)
  10. 規費：僑生500元、外籍生1000元（1年期），可一次辦理3年期
    Application Fee: NT$500 for Overseas Chinese Students and NT$1,000 for International Students (1-year ARC). A 3-year ARC may be applied for at one time.

港澳生所需資料:

  1. 入學通知或分發通知原件。
  2. 護照(驗證掃瞄後發回)。
  3. 中華民國台灣地區入出境許可證。(護照內有中華民國外交部VISA那頁)
  4. 2吋證件照相片(3.5cm*4.5cm)彩色白底露耳(可提供電子檔)
  5. 居留證申請表(本組提供) (填寫內容均以護照為準)
  6. 在學證明(學校提供)
  7. 港澳ID
  8. 良民證(或申請繳費收據)
  9. 港澳居民申請居留申報書(本組提供)
  10.  香港或澳門地區居民身份確認書(本組提供)
  11. 內地通行證。
  12.  健檢證明(3個月內)

  15.  規費:2600(3年期)。

Extension of residence permit period (not exceeding the duration of study).

僑生與外籍生延長居留證所需資料:
Required Documents for ARC Extension (Overseas Chinese Students and International Students)
  1. 護照（驗證掃描後發回）
    Passport (will be returned after verification and scanning)
  2. 委託書（本組提供）
    Letter of Authorization (provided by our office)
  3. 費用：僑生500元（1年）；外國生1000元（1年）
    Application Fee: NT$500 for Overseas Chinese Students (1 year); NT$1,000 for International Students (1 year)
  4. 繳交舊居留證（需繳舊換新）
    Current ARC (must be surrendered for renewal/replacement)
  5. 如住校外且地址有變更，請附租約正本。
    If living off campus and your address has changed, please submit the original rental agreement.
  6. 如有同住者，需附居住同意書，並檢附居留證影本或本國民身分證正反面影本。
    If you are living with others, please provide a Letter of Residence Consent together with a photocopy of the host’s ARC or the front and back copies of their Taiwanese National ID Card.
僑生及外籍生可於居留證到期日前3個月內辦理延期。
Overseas Chinese students and international students may apply for an ARC extension up to three months before the expiration date of their current ARC.

港澳生延長居留證所需資料：

  1. 護照(驗證掃瞄後發回)。
  2. 委託書(住服組提供)
  3. 費用：300元(只能延1年)
  4. 留下舊居留證(需繳舊換新)，。
  5. 如住校外，地址有變更，請附租約正本。
    (如有同住者需附居住同意書要附上居留證影本或本國民身份證正反)
  6. 港澳生到期日1個月即可辦延期

第31條第4項

移民署對於外國人於居留期間內，居留原因消失者，廢止其居留許可，並註銷其外僑居留證。

Article 31, Paragraph 4
If the reason for an alien’s residence ceases to exist during the period of residence, the National Immigration Agency (NIA) shall revoke the residence permit and cancel the Alien Resident Certificate (ARC).

第36條第2項第7款

外國人有下列情形之一者，移民署得強制驅逐出國，或限令其於十日內出國；逾限令出國期限仍未出國者，移民署得強制驅逐出國。七、有第三十一條第四項規定情形，居留原因消失，經廢止居留許可，並註銷外僑居留證。

Article 36, Paragraph 2, Subparagraph 7
If an alien falls under any of the following circumstances, the NIA may deport the individual or order them to leave the country within ten (10) days. If the individual fails to depart within the prescribed period, the NIA may forcibly deport them.

Subparagraph 7:
Where the circumstances described in Article 31, Paragraph 4 apply, namely that the reason for residence no longer exists and the residence permit has been revoked and the ARC has been cancelled.

Q：境外學生辦理休、退學後須離境時間限制為何？
Q: What is the departure deadline for international students who take a leave of absence or withdraw from school?

A：依移民法第31條第4項規定，移民署對於外國人於居留期間內，居留原因消失者，廢止其居留許可，並註銷其外僑居留證；另依移民法第36條第2項第7款規定略以，有前揭情形者，移民署得強制驅逐出國，或限令其於10日內出國。

A: According to Article 31, Paragraph 4 of the Immigration Act, if the reason for an international student’s residence no longer exists during the period of residence, the NIA will revoke the residence permit and cancel the student’s ARC. Furthermore, pursuant to Article 36, Paragraph 2, Subparagraph 7 of the Act, the NIA may deport the individual or order them to leave Taiwan within ten (10) days. Failure to depart within the prescribed period may result in forcible deportation.
